Yoga for Mental Health, Sports & Rehabilitation

Yoga is far more than a physical practice. I work with people for all sorts of reasons, whether that’s supporting mental health, improving sports performance, or recovering from injury, and tailor each session to meet you exactly where you are.

Mental Health
Yoga has a powerful effect on the nervous system, helping to ease stress, anxiety and low mood. Through breathwork, movement and stillness, the practice encourages the body to shift out of fight-or-flight and into a calmer, more regulated state. Over time, this can improve sleep, sharpen concentration and build a greater sense of emotional resilience, alongside a kinder relationship with yourself.

Sports Performance
For athletes and active people, yoga is an excellent complement to training. It builds flexibility, mobility and core strength, improves balance and body awareness, and supports faster recovery between sessions. Just as importantly, it develops the focus and breath control that carry over into performance under pressure, while a regular practice helps reduce the risk of injury by addressing the imbalances and tight spots that high-intensity training can create.

Rehabilitation
Yoga can also play a valuable role in recovery, whether you’re working through a long-term injury, recovering from surgery, or managing chronic pain. Sessions are gentle, carefully paced and fully adapted to your individual needs, often working alongside physiotherapy or other treatment. The aim is to rebuild strength, mobility and confidence in the body at a pace that feels safe, while supporting the nervous system through what can be a difficult and frustrating process.
Whatever brings you to the mat, the practice can be shaped around you, supporting mind and body together rather than treating them as separate.
